HOUSTON — Oct. 20, 2016 – Registered voters who are Spring ISD residents will have several opportunities to vote early on a $330 million bond proposition that would address the district’s long-standing facility, technology, and safety and security needs.
Additionally, three Spring ISD Board of Trustees positions will appear on the ballot: Deborah Jensen for position one; Chris A. Bell for position two; and Justine Durant and Myron Spencer for position three.
Early voting locations will open Monday, Oct. 24 and continue through Friday, Nov. 4 at 46 locations throughout Harris County. During early voting, registered voters may vote at any of the 46 sites regardless of their precinct.
The closest voting locations to residents living in Spring ISD are Fallbrook Church, 12512 Walters Road, Champion Forest Baptist Church/Multi-Purpose Building, 4840 Strack Road, Champion Life Centre, 3031 FM 2920 Road, and Baldwin Boettcher Branch Library, 22248 Aldine Westfield Rd.
The dates, times and locations of the 46 early voting sites, as well as the Election Day polling sites, can be found online at www.harrisvotes.com. Voters who wait until Election Day, Nov. 8, to cast their ballot will be required to vote in the precinct where they are registered.
Early voting hours of operation are:
- Oct. 24-28: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Oct. 29: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Oct. 30: 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Oct. 31-Nov. 4: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Spring ISD bond referendum and Board of Trustees election are being held in conjunction with the Harris County election. The bond referendum will appear under Propositions near the bottom of the ballot, requiring voters to take time to complete the entire ballot, especially if voting a straight ticket.
