HOUSTON – June 27, 2017 – The Spring Independent School District has received 17 National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) awards, including two awards of Excellence, in the 2017 Publications and Electronic Media Contest.
The awards of Excellence were for the following:
- Popular Annual Financial Report 2016
- Reading Tips for Parents of Preschoolers –Bilingual
“I am extremely proud of the Communications team and its commitment to quality and excellence in everything we do,” said Chief Communications Officer Tiffany Dunne-Oldfield. “These awards highlight the importance of telling the story of our district in ways that connect with our community.”
The Communications team collaborated with multiple departments, teachers and administrators to develop the award-winning entries. Dunne-Oldfield credited that collaboration with generating engaging content, in video, print and electronic media.
The district was also honored with 10 Merit awards for the following entries:
- U-Star – A Spring ISD and Texas A&M University Partnership (in-house video)
- Campus Teacher of the Year Jamie Molander (in-house video)
- Campus Teacher of the Year Bryan Wilson (in-house video)
- Little Free Libraries (in-house video)
- Detective Emmy Retires (in-house video)
- Innovation and Engagement in the Classroom – Joy Bazzle (in-house video)
- School Guide 2016-17 (special purpose publication)
- Quick Look 2015-16 (special purpose publication)
- Facts Working for Spring ISD (special purpose publication)
- HR Connection (eNewsletter – internal)
Several entries received an Honorable Mention, including:
