HOUSTON – Jan. 11, 2017 – Community input is at the center of all decision making in Spring ISD, and district leaders are again giving every employee, parent, and student in grades 6-12 the opportunity to help shape the future of the district’s schools through its third annual School Quality Survey.
The survey is open Tuesday, Jan. 16 through Friday, Feb. 2.
Parents and employees should check their email for an invitation and survey link, or go to www.springisd.org/schoolquality to participate. Students in grades 6 through 12 should go to this link, http://survey.k12insight.com/p/SpringISDstudents, where they will need to use their ID to log into the survey.
Paper surveys will be available at the front desk of all campuses. The survey is available in English and Spanish. Students in grades 6-12 will take the survey in school.
“One of our greatest points of pride in Spring ISD is our engaged community,” said Dr. Rodney Watson, superintendent of schools. “Because of your willingness to speak up and partner with us, we are better able to serve you and meet the needs of every student.”
The School Quality Survey asks for feedback on safety and behavior, student support, academic preparation, family involvement, and school leadership. District leaders will use the survey results to evaluate the progress of meeting the goals of the Every Child 2020 strategic plan. School administrators will use the input from their school communities to develop targeted improvement plans for next school year.
All responses are strictly confidential. The district’s independent research partner, K12 Insight, is administering the survey and compiling the results. Final reports will only include overall findings, not individual responses.
