HOUSTON – March 9, 2018 – Registration is now open for Spring ISD’s 3-mile Fun Run and Wellness Fair to be held at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, May 12.
The event will celebrate the three-year anniversary of the district’s strategic plan, EVERYchild 2020 and raise money for student scholarships. There will be something for everyone for with a 3-mile run course, a 1.5-mile walk, music, family activities and a wellness fair.
The run/walk course will start at Carl Wunsche Sr. High School and go through Old Town Spring, where the history and traditions of the Spring community began. Back at Wunsche, vendors will be on hand to promote health and wellness at a fair that runs until 12 noon.
“This event is a great way for us to come together as a community and show our support for our students as they pursue their goals and dreams,” said Spring ISD Superintendent Dr. Rodney E. Watson. “We hope everyone will join us, whether it’s to run, walk or watch. Old Town Spring is a great place to be on the weekend, with shops and restaurants to visit throughout the day.”
Show your support by registering online for the race, priced at $15 for adults and $10 for students, through Friday, May 4 at 5 p.m. Same day registration will be available on May 12 from 6 a.m. to 6:45 a.m. at a price of $25 for adults and $20 for students.
