Parents looking for ways to support their child’s education will find tips and strategies on Parent Central, a new web resource designed for easy access to important videos, forms, articles and links.
“We created Parent Central with the goal of providing one-stop shopping for parents looking for information,” said Chief Communications Officer Tiffany Dunne-Oldfield. “This new resource simplifies the experience of finding relevant news and information by organizing it one spot. In addition, we’re enhancing what’s available by adding more parent-focused articles and videos.”
Visitors to the new site will find quick links to volunteer in their child’s school and to the my.springisd.org portal, as well as direct links to the school menus and the bus finder. Four tabs offer easy navigation to the topic areas of enrollment, academics, health and wellness and general interest.
Dedicated space is being allocated for videos, as well as helpful parenting and education articles tagged for easy searching. A calendar of events highlights those activities and classes of most interest to parents.
“We are looking to grow Parent Central throughout the year, and our families can expect new content to be added on a weekly basis,” Dunne-Oldfield said. “We also hope that families will let us know what topics they’d like covered through our online feedback tool.”
