Two Spring ISD employees were the latest to be surprised on Monday morning by members of the Spring ISD Board of Trustees as the Employee Excellence Award winners for February and March. Spring ISD Transportation bus driver Ann Brownfield and Bailey Middle School eighth-grade counselor Melanie Schmitz were selected as the most recent recipients for the recognition.

The Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce honored 18 Spring ISD educators on Tuesday at its annual Teacher of the Year luncheon sponsored by Gulf Coast Educators Federal Credit Union and Rhodes School for the Performing Arts.

Armando Jacinto was recently recognized as a Certified Athletic Administrator by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.

Spring ISD was recognized as a recipient of the Award of Merit for School District Purchasing Operations by the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO). The award is presented to Texas school districts and education service centers that demonstrate commitment to following professional standards in the purchase of goods and services.
