HOUSTON – June 3, 2020– Children under the age of 18 who live in the Spring area will have access to free snack and lunch through the Spring Independent School District’s Summer Feeding Program. The program will offer meals on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning Wednesday, June 3 at seven campuses across the district. The district will continue with our curbside meal service. On Mondays, children will receive meals for Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesdays, children will receive meals for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Children must be in the vehicle with adults.
Children age 18 and under are eligible and do not have to be enrolled in summer school or show proof of income to receive a free meal at the participating schools.
The summer feeding program is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). All meals are based on national nutrition standards to ensure children receive the appropriate nutrients to maintain a balanced diet.
Snacks and lunch curbside service hours and locations for the seven participating elementary, middle and high school campuses are listed below.
