Seniors and their families line up for a drive-thru celebration of graduates at Carl Wunsche Sr. High School in May.

HOUSTON – July 31, 2020 – Spring ISD has announced that its 2020 Summer Graduation drive-thru ceremonies will be held Saturday, Aug. 8 at campuses. About 60 seniors are scheduled to graduate during the events, the times and locations of which are as follows:

• Dekaney High School – 8 a.m. at the Dekaney campus
• Westfield High School – 9 a.m. at the Westfield campus
• Spring High School and Carl Wunsche Sr. High School – 10 a.m. at the Spring High School campus

Due to the continued high incidence of COVID-19 across Texas and the Houston region, and in accordance with state and local health guidelines, Spring ISD will not hold its traditional combined summer ceremony this year. Instead, to ensure the safety of students, staff and family members, each of the 2020 summer graduations will take place as drive-thru ceremonies at the campuses, with students and their guests lining up in cars, driving through, and receiving diplomas from the pick-up lane.

Campus staff will also be on hand to celebrate at the drive-thru ceremonies, all while maintaining social-distancing protocols. Families with questions about graduation should contact their student’s campus.
