With educational equity a priority, Spring ISD wants to hear from campus-based employees, as well as parents, and students in grades 6-12 with its first-ever Equity Study.
The questionnaire will launch Wednesday, Feb. 10 and remain open through Feb. 26.
“Our goal with this survey is to collect the data we need to help us identify and address any barriers to success that might exist for our students and staff,” said Dr. Rodney Watson, superintendent of schools. “We need district stakeholders to help us examine those areas where we can grow and improve as we work to ensure excellent, equitable outcomes for all students.”
Parents should check their email/text messages for an invitation and survey link, or go to www.springisd.org/equitystudy to participate. Campus-based employees with instructional responsibilities will also receive a personalized invitation. Students in grades 6-12 will take the survey in school.
All responses are strictly confidential. The district’s independent partner, Cambridge Education, is administering the survey and compiling the results. Final reports will only include overall findings, not individual responses.
