Spring ISD is gathering feedback on its Recovery Plan as it works to develop a strategy on how to best serve students in the wake of the pandemic and with the federal funds allocated to help overcome related learning losses.
The district is expecting to receive at least $101 million in federal funding to address those unexpected costs. The funding is part of the third round of federal stimulus funding from the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund, which was passed in March.
According to the Texas Education Agency, the funds should be used over the next three years, with at least 20 percent of the funds set aside specifically for learning loss. As part of its oversight on the money, TEA is requiring all districts to develop a Recovery Plan that specifically includes feedback from district stakeholder groups on how the funds should be used.
Thank you for taking the time to help us develop our Recovery Plan. This survey will remain open until Friday, June 11 at 5 p.m.
