Spring ISD is unveiling new renderings of the upcoming Education, Performance and Instruction Center (EPIC), a project stemming from the 2022 Bond.
The state-of-the-art facility will be located directly south of the Randall Reed Center at Planet Ford Stadium. The project, which is using funds from the 2022 Bond, will cost approximately $141 million, and will be designed by HKS Architects.
The center will serve as a hub for districtwide events, including educational and performing arts showcases as well as a venue for high school graduations. The center will also double as a reunification center in case of emergencies. This multipurpose center will meet the needs of students, teachers, and families, featuring a performance hall, recital and academic hall, arena, and multipurpose spaces.
The newly unveiled renderings and location come as the project moves from the planning stage into designing of the facility. Groundbreaking and construction are set to begin Winter 2025, with a targeted opening date in time for high school graduation ceremonies in 2027.
Recently, Spring ISD also announced the new location of the upcoming Spring High School — in a plot bordered by Hardy Toll Road to the west and Riley Fuzzel Road to the north — which was also funded by the 2022 Bond.
