Ursula Gordon-Higginbotham has been named the new principal at Major Elementary School. Gordon-Higginbotham has served as the interim principal at Major since January, previously serving as the campus’ assistant principal for 2 years.
An educational leader with over 28 years’ experience, she began her career as a special education teacher and department chair in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System before working various positions in Fort Bend ISD, Pearland ISD, Pasadena ISD and Houston Community College (Southwest and Katy campuses) before joining Major Elementary School in 2022. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Southern University A&M. She furthered her education in the field of Psychology at the University of Houston – Clear Lake.
