During Black History Month, you could feel a sense of reflection, pride, and celebration across Spring ISD. Campuses honored the legacy and lasting impact of Black leaders, innovators, and changemakers — not just through lessons and displays, but through honest conversations and shared experiences.

Spring ISD is excited to announce that Pre-K applications will open April 1 for the 2026-27 school year, and the district is ready to welcome its newest learners. The earliest years of a child’s life are some of the most important for building the foundation of future success. Between ages three and five, children develop key skills in reading, thinking, problem-solving, and interacting with others.

The Spring ISD Office of Communications was recognized with 36 Star Awards from the Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA) for excellence in school communications during the 2024-25 school year, highlighted by a prestigious Crystal Commendation Award — one of the highest honors presented by the organization.

After outlasting hundreds of student spellers across Spring ISD, more than 30 campus champions stepped onto the stage at Dekaney High School’s Star Theater on Feb. 5, each one word away from elimination.

Spring ISD is making significant progress on 2022 Bond projects across the district—from major construction sites to campus upgrades designed to strengthen safety, modernize learning environments, and improve long-term facility reliability. Approved by voters in November 2022, the approximately $850 million bond program funds initiatives in key areas, including safety and security enhancements, transportation and fleet needs, technology upgrades, renovations and major new construction—such as the new Spring High School campus and the EPIC facility.
