Community Engagement

The spirit of Christmas and the joy of literacy filled the halls of Dekaney High School on Dec. 12 as Spring ISD’s Family and Community Engagement Department hosted its annual Winter Literacyland celebration. The free, family-friendly event welcomed more than 1,600 families from across the district, as well as attendees from surrounding communities, for an evening dedicated to reading, learning and holiday fun for all.

El evento sirvió como un tributo sincero a los individuos extraordinarios cuya dedicación, compasión y apoyo inquebrantable ayudan a formar las vidas de los estudiantes y fortalecer los campus en todo el distrito.

In a moving celebration of service and community spirit, the Spring ISD Family and Community Engagement Department hosted its Annual Volunteer Appreciation Reception on April 17. The event served as a heartfelt tribute to the extraordinary individuals whose dedication, compassion, and unwavering support help shape the lives of students and strengthen campuses across the district.

Los padres con niños pequeños , los maestros agarrando cuadernos, y los líderes del distrito armados con carpetas, marcadores fluorescentes, y las hojas de planificación de gran tamaño-cada grupo llegó preparado. Parents with toddlers in tow, teachers clutching notebooks, and district leaders armed with folders, highlighters, and oversized planning sheets—each group came prepared. What united them wasn’t just their connection to Spring ISD, but a common challenge: a projected $13 million budget deficit looming over the upcoming school year. Together, they gathered with a shared determination to face it head-on and find real, practical solutions.
