Education Foundation

The line started forming before the program even began. Parents with little ones in tow, students in their school shirts, campus staff, and longtime community partners wound through the lobby of the Randall Reed Community Center, each waiting for a turn to shake hands with Spring ISD’s new Superintendent, Dr. Kregg Cuellar, and snap a photo to mark the moment.

La fundación otorga hasta $1,000 para proyectos iniciados por maestros, $2,000 para iniciativas de campus o departamentos, y $5,000 para programas multi-campus.

Over the past year alone, the Spring ISD Education Foundation has contributed over $110,000 to support various initiatives, including scholarships, grants, the Girls and Boys Summit, and literacy events. The foundation awards up to $1,000 for teacher-initiated projects, $2,000 for campus or department initiatives, and $5,000 for multi-campus programs.

About a dozen foundation members traveled by school bus to seven campuses, delivering more than $23,000 in teacher grants. Teachers with ideas for innovative learning initiatives apply for the grants, and the Education Foundation’s board members select which ones they can fund.

With over 30 years of graduates represented, the Spring Independent School District Education Foundation recently hosted its Alumni Night celebration at the Randall Reed Center. The evening was held to honor alumni who have made remarkable contributions in their professional fields, leadership roles, and community efforts. The 14 alumni who were honored this year range from doctors and nurses to business professionals and elected officials.
