Aplausos, pompones y emotivas sorpresas llenaron los pasillos de dos escuelas de Spring ISD esta semana, cuando líderes del distrito anunciaron a los Directores del Año 2025–2026 de nivel primaria y secundaria, reconociendo a dos líderes cuyo impacto va mucho más allá de las paredes de sus escuelas.

Cheers, pom-poms, and emotional surprises filled the halls of two Spring ISD campuses this week as district leaders revealed the 2025–2026 Elementary and Secondary Principals of the Year, honoring two leaders whose impact reaches far beyond their school walls.

After outlasting hundreds of student spellers across Spring ISD, more than 30 campus champions stepped onto the stage at Dekaney High School’s Star Theater on Feb. 5, each one word away from elimination.

La nublada mañana del sábado 8 de noviembre en la escuela primaria Booker cobró vida con alegres decoraciones amarillas y negras con temática de abejas, ya que el distrito escolar Spring ISD celebró su novena edición anual del concurso de ortografía/deletreo en español, en el que participaron los mejores deletreadores de las escuelas primarias e intermedias del distrito. Estudiantes, familias y personal, incluidos directores y maestros, se reunieron para celebrar el bilingüismo, el orgullo cultural y la excelencia académica.

The cloudy Saturday morning of Nov. 8 at Booker Elementary School came alive with cheerful bee-themed yellow and black decorations as Spring ISD hosted its 9th Annual Spanish Spelling Bee featuring the district’s top spellers from elementary and middle schools. Students, families, and staff—including principals and teachers—gathered to celebrate bilingualism, cultural pride, and academic excellence.
