La colaboración, la comunicación y la coordinación fueron las protagonistas cuando el Departamento de Policía de Spring ISD unió fuerzas con múltiples departamentos locales de policía y bomberos del condado de North Harris para realizar una simulación a gran escala de un tirador activo en el Centro de Noveno Grado de Westfield High School, un ejercicio de entrenamiento a gran escala que llevó años preparar.

Collaboration, communication and coordination took center stage as Spring ISD Police Department joined forces with multiple North Harris County local law enforcement and fire departments for a full-scale active shooter simulation at Westfield High School’s Ninth Grade Center — a large-scale training exercise years in the making.

Spring ISD is making significant strides in upgrading schools and facilities thanks to the $850 million bond approved by voters in 2022. The bond supports much-needed facility upgrades, security enhancements, and infrastructure improvements across the district. Construction crews are working diligently to modernize classrooms, enhance safety, and create better learning environments for students and teachers. Every campus is benefiting from these transformative changes.

Over 100 female police leaders gathered at the Randall Reed Center on Friday for the Inaugural Spring ISD Police Women’s Empowerment and Leadership Summit. Hosted by the Spring ISD Police Department, this event brought together law enforcement officers from across the Houston area and out of state for a day dedicated to mentorship, leadership, and empowerment.
