From breakout sessions on literacy to hands-on technology demos, the Spring ISD Fall Learning Fair on Oct. 4 offered educators from across the district a day dedicated entirely to growth and collaboration. Hosted at Carl Wunsche Sr. High School, the event drew a record-breaking number of over 750 attendees, twice as many as last year, all focused on one goal: equipping every student for success.

En la mañana del 24 de septiembre, justo antes del amanecer, Diana Martínez bajó de un avión en el Aeropuerto Internacional George Bush, con su equipaje de mano en una mano y una carpeta con documentos en la otra. Martínez, una veterana docente colombiana con 15 años de experiencia, acaba de dejar atrás a su familia, sus amigos y todo lo que le es familiar para comenzar un nuevo capítulo en Spring ISD.

On the morning of Sept. 24th, just before dawn, Diana Martinez stepped off a plane at George Bush International Airport — her carry-on luggage in one hand and a folder of documents in the other. A 15-year teaching veteran from Colombia, Martinez has just left behind family, friends, and everything familiar to begin a new chapter in Spring ISD.
