HOUSTON – Feb. 19, 2016 – Spring ISD is hosting its fourth-annual College and Career Expo from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20 at Dekaney High School, 22351 Imperial Valley Dr. There will be interactive workshops, fun activities and important information for parents and students of all grade levels.
The expo is designed to connect students and the community with colleges, employers, employment related services and community resources. It will feature sessions on how to apply for federal and state financial aid, prepare scholarship application essays, write resumes and plan for college and careers using the district’s new Naviance program, just to name a few.
Additionally, seniors from each of the district’s five high schools will have the opportunity to win a scholarship and dorm room start-up prizes. The student and their parent or guardian must be present to win.
