HOUSTON – May 25, 2016 – The Spring Way Scholarship program was established with the Spring ISD Education Foundation several years ago by generous donations from Spring ISD staff and continues to be supported through annual staff donations. This year 17 graduates received Spring Way Scholarships valued at $2,000 each. To qualify, applicants must have a parent or legal guardian who is a current, full-time Spring ISD employee at the time of application.
This year’s recipients are: Isaac Calderon, Carl Wunsche Sr. High School/Spring High School; Amanda Cano, Westfield High School; Alyssa Daniels, Spring High School; Scott Escalona, Carl Wunsche Sr. High School/ Spring High School; Brittany Gentry, Spring High School; Kennedy Hawkins, Dekaney High School; Tyra Hemmings, Westfield High School; Chad Kees; Dekaney High School; DaVien Montgomery, Spring High School; Jazmyn Lacy, Dekaney High School; Yalitza Hall, Early College Academy; Vlada Hogan, Spring High School; Melanie Holiday, Westfield High School; Michelle Iyere, Early College Academy; Katia Osorio, Dekaney High School; Megan Soetaert, Spring High School; and Cesar Zapata-Largaespada, Spring High School.
The Spring ISD Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1993 to enhance educational opportunities for students.
