HOUSTON – Oct. 25, 2017 – Spring ISD Project S.A.F.E is hosting a National Lights On Celebration at 6 p.m. Thursday Oct. 26 at Westfield High School, 16713 Ella Blvd., for families districtwide.
Lights On Afterschool is a nationwide event celebrating afterschool programs and their important role in the lives of children, families and communities. The event will highlight the Project S.A.F.E after-school programs in Spring ISD located at Dekaney and Westfield high schools, Bailey, Bammel and Wells middle schools, and Bammel, Eickenroht, Hoyland, Major, Ponderosa and Salyers elementary schools.
There will be fun activities for students and parents centered around the Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) areas, vendors displaying their services and refreshments.
Families who have students attending any school in the district are invited to join Project S.A.F.E in celebrating after-school programs that improve student academic performance through innovative and enriching student-and-parent learning opportunities that promote family engagement.
