HOUSTON – Jan. 26, 2018 – After experiencing winter weather unlike any the area has seen in recent years, the Spring ISD Education Foundation is counting on this being a good time to invite Houston-area golfers to sign up for the Tee Up for Education charity golf tournament set for April 16.
“This event will give our winter-weary friends of the foundation something to look forward to,” said Spring ISD Education Foundation President Ken Grays. “It is also a great way for businesses and community members to team build, network and have a really good time while raising money for our kids.” Grays said.
The tournament will kick off at Northgate Country Club with a Mancil Davis Golf Clinic at 10 a.m. and several contests at 10:30 a.m. before a shotgun start at noon. Contests include a Hole-in-One with a 2018 Honda Accord EX-L prize courtesy of Honda of Spring, Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin. Non-golfers are welcome to join the golfers at 5:30 p.m. for a dinner, awards presentation and raffle.
All funds raised from the tournament directly benefit Spring ISD students. Since its inception in 1993, the Foundation, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has awarded $1,233,034 in innovative teacher grants. See Spring ISD Education Foundation Writes Big Checks to Fund Teacher Grants
