At Spring ISD, strong school-to-home connections are at the heart of our mission. That’s why we are proud to share that ClassDojo is a tool that is transforming the way teachers, students, and families communicate and celebrate learning.
More than just an app, ClassDojo bridges the classroom and home. Teachers can instantly share updates, photos, and reminders with families, helping ensure everyone stays engaged in the learning journey. Click here to download the app.
To celebrate the innovative ways educators are using ClassDojo, Spring ISD has launched the ClassDojo Champions of the Month campaign. Each month, one campus and one teacher will be recognized for their outstanding work in using the platform to strengthen family engagement and student belonging. Honorees will also be spotlighted on the district’s social media channels.
On Friday, the district announced its first honorees:
- Marshall Elementary as the August Campus ClassDojo Champion
- Ms. Ndya Linton of Jenkins Elementary as the August Teacher ClassDojo Champion
Marshall Elementary Principal Shimona Eason said the recognition reflects the school’s ongoing commitment to family engagement.
“At Marshall Elementary, we believe that when families and schools work hand-in-hand, students thrive,” said Eason. “ClassDojo has given us a powerful way to keep families connected to the learning happening every day, and this recognition is a reflection of our entire community’s commitment to building those meaningful connections.”
For Ms. Linton, the recognition is about more than just communication—it’s about connection.
“ClassDojo has really helped me build stronger connections with family. Parents have even shared with me that they are saving the ClassDojo posts as special memories to look back on when their children graduate from 5th grade,” said Linton. “It is amazing to know that moments captured now will be cherished long after our students move on to the next chapter.”
Through ClassDojo, Spring ISD teachers are:
- Engaging Families: Parents stay updated on classroom activities and feel included in their child’s education.
- Building Belonging: Students are celebrated for their efforts—big and small—fostering a positive culture.
- Opening Communication: Families and teachers can connect quickly and easily, breaking down barriers.
- Celebrating Learning: Student work is showcased beyond the classroom walls.
By recognizing Dojo Champions of the Month, Spring ISD is shining a spotlight on the inspiring ways educators are using ClassDojo to connect with families, motivate students, and celebrate success.
