What began as a normal school day quickly turned into an unforgettable celebration for six Spring ISD teachers on May 14. One moment, they were teaching lessons and moving through their daily routines. The next, they were being surprised with a $2,500 Honored Schools Life-Changing Teacher Award.

Lo que comenzó como una pasión por ayudar a los niños a creer en sí mismos ahora le ha valido a Casey Sade Archield uno de los mayores reconocimientos educativos de Houston. La Maestra del Año 2024–2025 de Spring ISD y maestra de matemáticas de tercer grado de Reynolds Elementary fue nombrada “Houston’s Favorite Teacher” por el Houston Chronicle durante su concurso anual de la Semana Nacional de Agradecimiento a los Maestros, obteniendo el primer lugar entre 60 educadores nominados de toda el área de Houston.

What began as a passion for helping children believe in themselves has now earned Casey Sade Archield one of Houston’s top honors in education. The Spring ISD 2024–2025 Teacher of the Year and Reynolds Elementary third-grade mathematics teacher was named Houston’s Favorite Teacher by the Houston Chronicle during its citywide National Teacher Appreciation Week contest, earning the top spot among 60 nominated educators from across the Houston area.

Hundreds of Spring ISD employees gathered on May 8 for one of the district’s most anticipated traditions, the annual Employee Recognition Banquet. The evening celebrated the educators, campus leaders, support staff and retirees whose dedication continues to shape the lives of Spring ISD students while also honoring a milestone year marking 90 years of the district.
