Spring ISD’s annual College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Night, hosted at the Randall Reed Center, prepares families of students in grades 8–12 for what comes after high school.

On the morning of Sept. 24th, just before dawn, Diana Martinez stepped off a plane at George Bush International Airport — her carry-on luggage in one hand and a folder of documents in the other. A 15-year teaching veteran from Colombia, Martinez has just left behind family, friends, and everything familiar to begin a new chapter in Spring ISD.

The morning buzzed with excitement and determination as Spring ISD’s Central Office staff came together for their first meeting of the school year on Sept. 24. At Spring ISD, Hispanic Heritage Month is more than a celebration — it’s part of our story. From Sept. 15 to Oct.15, we proudly honor the history, traditions, and contributions of our Hispanic and Latino families who help make our district strong. In a unanimous vote at its regular board meeting Tuesday evening, the Spring ISD Board of Trustees officially appointed Dr. Kregg Cuellar as the district’s next superintendent of schools. His contract was signed during the meeting following the mandatory 21-day waiting period after being named Lone Finalist on Aug. 18.

With the new school year in full swing, Spring ISD is moving forward at full speed, fueled by a vision for excellence and progress. This summer, the district made significant strides on its 2022 Bond projects from major construction updates to systems updates, work that reflects the district’s continued focus on safe, modern, and functional learning environments for children.
