What began as a normal school day quickly turned into an unforgettable celebration for six Spring ISD teachers on May 14. One moment, they were teaching lessons and moving through their daily routines. The next, they were being surprised with a $2,500 Honored Schools Life-Changing Teacher Award.

Maestra de la escuela primaria Reynolds es nombrada la “Maestra Favorita de Houston” por el Houston Chronicle

What began as a passion for helping children believe in themselves has now earned Casey Sade Archield one of Houston’s top honors in education. The Spring ISD 2024–2025 Teacher of the Year and Reynolds Elementary third-grade mathematics teacher was named Houston’s Favorite Teacher by the Houston Chronicle during its citywide National Teacher Appreciation Week contest, earning the top spot among 60 nominated educators from across the Houston area.

44 years of love: Spring ISD community gathers to honor Link Elementary’s lasting legacy
by Spring ISDFor 44 years, Link Elementary School was more than a neighborhood campus. Opened in 1982, it became a second home where lifelong friendships were formed, generations grew together, and students found support that helped shape their futures. On May 2, all of that came rushing back — former students, staff and families filled the halls one last time, sharing hugs, swapping stories and taking in the memory displays and photographs that brought decades of moments vividly back to life.
