Hundreds of Spring ISD students recognized for local, state and national achievements during May Board Meeting
by Spring ISDMore than 200 students from across the district gathered for the annual May Board Meeting – held this year on May 14 in the Dekaney High School Star Theater – to be recognized by the Spring ISD Board of Trustees for a range of individual and team accomplishments.

Thousands of teacher nominations gathered from students and their families across the district were narrowed down to three winners (one each from elementary, middle, and high school) who were each presented an award that included a check for $5,000 from Honored Schools.

At the Athletics Coaches Awards Dinner, coaches from across Spring ISD gathered to celebrate each other and to recognize the best among them. Along with the usual awards, this year saw a pair of new awards handed out: Impact Coach of the Year and Influential Coach of the Year. Both awards were designed to recognize the coaches who make significant and positive influence on their teams, athletes, and the broader community.

Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council members recognized for work against human trafficking

With over 30 years of graduates represented, the Spring Independent School District Education Foundation recently hosted its Alumni Night celebration at the Randall Reed Center. The evening was held to honor alumni who have made remarkable contributions in their professional fields, leadership roles, and community efforts. As the 2023-24 school year winds down, members of the Spring ISD Board of Trustees paid surprise visits this week to several schools to present Spring ISD Employee Excellence Awards. Winners were selected by the trustees for embodying the qualities in the district’s Leadership Definition.
